2011-2012 Season

ICARUS

June 9, 2012 - Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary
This year’s spring concert had Calgary Men’s Chorus explore through song the themes of Icarus. Icarus is a cautionary tale of over ambition, but it is also a story about longing to escape and finding freedom elsewhere.

Longtime supporter and friend of the Calgary Men’s Chorus Jennifer Georgeadis, has created many of the unique paintings that have adorned our concert posters and programs, adding to the unique look of the Calgary Men’s Chorus concerts. Her most recent work Icarus, featured on our June 9th concert posters and programs, has added to our continued collaboration across artistic disciplines.
