Calgary Sings!

The Calgary Men’s Chorus was part of Calgary Sings!, a bi-annual celebration of choral music for adult choirs hosted and produced by the Adult Recreational Choir Society of Calgary (ARCS). Proceeds from this bi-annual event support the Music Therapy Program at Carewest. This year’s event featured guest hosts, The Heebee-jeebees, and nine choirs: Up2Something, Calgary Men’s Chorus, Sweet Adeline’s Chinook WindsIrish Cultural Society Choir, Petro-Canada Choir, Revv52Savridi SingersShe’s Up2Something, and Stampede City Chorus.

The Sword and the Cross

The Calgary Men’s Chorus performed as a guest of the Calgary Renaissance Singers & Players, along with guests Airdrie Community Choir and EnChor Chamber Choir. This extraordinary event featured four choirs coming together along with an impressive ensemble of instrumentalists for the performance of two of Giovanni Gabrieli’s poly-choral works, Omnes Gentes and Buccinate. These pieces, written for four choirs, organ and various instruments, are rarely performed and the Calgary Men’s Chorus was very excited to be a part of this unique concert.

A Christmas Carol

The Calgary Men’s Chorus collaborated with film director, actor and Professor Seth Michael Donsky (from New York City) to present an original choral concert inspired by Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” – a timeless story with an important message that still applies today.

CBC Radio’s “Blitz Day”

The Calgary Men’s Chorus joined numerous other choirs to sing at CBC Radio’s “Blitz Day” in support of the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.

WestJet’s Christmas Party

The Calgary Men’s Chorus was proud to be the opening act for WestJet’s Christmas Party which was attended by over 2500 WestJet employees.

Knox / CBC Carol Festival

The Calgary Men’s Chorus joined over twenty other Calgary choirs in this three-day festival in support of the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.

University of Calgary Chorus’ Fall Concert

We were extremely honoured when the University of Calgary Chorus invited us to sing with them at their annual fall concert.

Cum Vino Cantus Remembrance Day Fundraiser

The Cum Vino Cantus choir invited us to join them at the Auburn Saloon to raise money for the Veterans’ Food Bank.
