Benefit Concert and Forum as a part of the Don't Be Afraid campaign.

Featuring the Calgary Men's Chorus, The choirs of Knox Presbyterian Church and St Matthew's United Church, Soprano Laura McLean, and Soprano Janice Marple. With Evan Mounce, piano and Jim Picken, organ. Speakers, information, and a photobooth project will also be a part of the event.

Come and cheer for One Voice Chorus, the Calgary Men's Chorus, and the BarberEllas as they prepare to take the nation's capital by storm at the 2014 Unison queer choir festival! The Ottawa Bound! concert showcases the music that each ensemble will be singing at the Unison festival in Ottawa later this May.

Invictus 

Invictus

 

This choral concert explores the relationship between poetry and music by featuring compositions whose texts inspired composers with their power, lyricism and beauty. Central to the performance is Joshua Rist’s setting of William Ernest Henley’s famous poem, Invictus, a poem said to have inspired Nelson Mandela during his imprisonment.

Beautiful-City 

Beautiful City

 

“Out of the ruin and rubble”; this opening lyric from "Beautiful City" captures the overarching theme behind the music and dance that will be part of our next performance.

This collaborative performance adventure - featuring choreography by Paul Chambers and a cast of dancers - will journey through images of destruction and ruin into the hope and perseverance that rise to the surface when we choose to confront challenges head on.
